Rand Wilson

Rand Wilson has worked as a union organizer and labor communicator for more than forty years. He was active in the Labor Party, was a volunteer organizer, and later a shop steward and executive board member, for OCAW Local 8-366. Currently he is active in efforts to reform the Democratic party, and he is an elected member of Somerville's Ward 6 Democratic Committee. Wilson currently is an advisor to CHIPS Communities United, a coalition working to ensure that the $52.7 billion dollar CHIPS and Science Act subsidies to the semiconductor industry benefit workers and communities, not just its executives and shareholders. He also serves as a trustee for the Somerville Job Creation and Retention Trust.
